William Wallace was a Scottish knight who became one of the main leaders during the First War of Scottish Independence in the late 13th century. He is known for his military victories, particularly at Stirling Bridge, and for his role in inspiring Scottish resistance against English rule. Wallace was eventually captured and executed in London in 1305, but his legacy continued for centuries.
