Our Castle Douglas Shop, stocks a wide range of products for all your hobby needs, including a large collection of pre-loved LEGO® sets such as LEGO Castle, LEGO Pirates, and LEGO Star Wars, as well as our exclusive Scottish Minifigures, custom-made by United Bricks. We also carry a variety of hobby products, from Games Workshop® and Pokémon to Magic: The Gathering, COBI, and more.
Our Online Shop offers a smaller selection, featuring pre-loved LEGO sets, trading card game products, and our exclusive Scottish Minifigures - so even if you can’t visit Castle Douglas in person, you can still enjoy a little hobby shop excitement from home!
At our Castle Douglas Shop, we have Exclusive Scottish Minifigures, made by United Bricks just for us, celebrating Scottish culture and history in fun, unique designs. We also carry a select range of United Bricks Military Minifigures, perfect for collectors and enthusiasts.
In our Online Shop, you’ll find only the Exclusive Scottish Minifigures. If you’d like to purchase United Bricks Military Minifigures, they’re available directly from unitedbricks.com.
In our Castle Douglas shop, we operate on a first-come, first-served basis to give all customers an equal chance to purchase the products they’re looking for. We don’t allow reservations for in-store products due to past experiences where items were reserved but never collected.
If you’re travelling to the shop and hoping to buy specific items, we recommend contacting our Hobby Shop Team ahead of time, especially if you’re not local to Dumfries & Galloway. This can help avoid wasted travel if certain products are currently unavailable. Please note that even if a product is confirmed as available, we cannot guarantee it will still be in stock when you arrive — we apologise for any inconvenience.
We do offer a ‘Click & Collect’ service for products available in our Online Shop or from United Bricks, so you can reserve online purchases for collection in-store. For more details, see our “Can I ‘Click & Collect’?” FAQ in the Shipping Category.
All our pre-loved LEGO® sets are carefully cleaned and checked before sale. Each set comes 100% complete unless otherwise stated, and while some may show minor wear, we ensure every set is in a condition that’s fair and fun to build.
At this time, we do not accept LEGO® sets or parts from customers. While we love LEGO® and stock a great range of pre-loved sets, we aren’t purchasing additional sets or pieces at the moment.
Although we wish we could stock everything, even our Hobby Shop has its limits. We constantly strive to keep a wide variety of products available to satisfy as many customers as possible.
However, we are unable to order products specifically for individual customers. If you’re looking for a particular item, we recommend asking a Team member in the shop or using our ‘Contact Us’ form or Online Chat to check whether the product might become available in the near future.
Please note that even if we confirm a product will be in stock, we cannot reserve it for individual customers. For more details, see our “Can I reserved products?” FAQ.
United Brick Hobby Shop offers gift cards that can be purchased and used ONLY in our Castle Douglas shop. They make a perfect gift for hobby enthusiasts who want to choose their own sets, minifigures, or trading card game products. Gift cards are available in various values to suit all occasions and budgets.

Whether you’re ordering from our Online Shop or via unitedbricks.com, simply choose Collect from Store at checkout, and we’ll have your order ready for collection in Castle Douglas.
To use this service:
Visit www.unitedbrickshobbyshop.com or www.unitedbricks.com and add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping cart. (Don’t forget to log in or sign up for an account.)
At checkout, be sure to select ‘Collect from Store’ where appropriate.
Once your order has been placed, we will contact you via email to notify you when your products are ready to collect.*
When you arrive at the Hobby Shop, simply let a Team member know that you’re here to collect your online order. Please also mention whether the order was placed through our Hobby Shop website or the United Bricks website.
*Please do not come to the Hobby Shop before receiving your collection notification email, as you will need this to pick up your order.
We ship all products on our Online Shop across the UK, with delivery typically taking 2–3 working days. However, please allow up to 10 working days from the date of dispatch for your order to arrive at your door.
For international orders, only a selection of products is available, and delivery can take up to 15 working days from the date of dispatch, depending on your location.
Orders placed during busy postal seasons, such as Christmas, may take longer due to circumstances beyond our control. If your order hasn’t arrived within the expected timeframe, please contact us via email or our ‘Contact Us’ form, and we will be happy to investigate the matter further.
We apologise for any delays. While we have no control over Royal Mail or courier companies, we understand waiting for an order can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience as we do everything we can to assist.
Unfortunately, we are unable to ship orders to hotels due to the risk of your order not arriving during your visit, or it being lost or stolen. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you are staying with family or friends at a UK address, you may ship your order there at your own risk. Please note that if your order doesn’t arrive during your visit, it will be your responsibility to organise forwarding the items to your usual address at your own cost.
If your family or friend refuses to accept the parcel and it is returned to us, we will contact you directly to discuss re-sending your order. Any re-shipping - whether to a UK address or back to your international address - will incur additional shipping costs, which will be invoiced to you.
While we always aim to package your orders as safely and securely as possible, sometimes items can arrive faulty or broken due to unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, please contact us as soon as possible via email or our ‘Contact Us’ form, and include images of the damaged items. We will do our best to resolve the issue quickly and effectively
Placing an order on our Online Shop is simple! Browse our website to find the products you want, add them to your cart, and complete checkout. We accept debit and credit cards as well as PayPal, and we offer free shipping on UK orders over £35.
In our Castle Douglas Shop, we accept credit and debit cards, cash payments in GBP only, and Hobby Shop Gift Cards.
For the Online Shop, we accept credit and debit cards as well as PayPal.
We’re sorry to hear that you would like to cancel your order. To do so, please contact us immediately via email or our ‘Contact Us’ form, and provide the order number of the order you wish to cancel. If your order has not yet been shipped, we will process your cancellation as soon as possible.

Please Note: Once we receive your cancellation or returned items, we will issue a refund as soon as possible. Please note that it may take up to 30 days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your payment method and bank processing times. We apologise for any inconvenience this delay may cause, though it is unfortunately beyond our control.
